The Vax V-027 Rapide XL is a deep cleaning, versatile upright carpet washing system designed for convenience around the home. The wash head has contra-rotating brush bars for ultimate deep down dirt extraction. Its powerful dual extraction, which allows carpets to dry quickly, is ideal for large carpeted areas. Featuring on-board hose with wash tool attachment, and large capacity auto mix cleaning system, the V-027 Rapide XL is easily adapted for stair, car and upholstery cleaning too.

Why wash my carpets?
Although regular vacuuming of your carpets removes everyday dirt, it does not completely remove the deep-down dirt and grease that makes carpets look flat and lifeless. Washing your carpets will.

Summary: Faulty tripped the house
Comment: We returned this carpet shampooer after it tripped the whole house. Not pleased- the computers needed re-setting so we were up until the early hours solving that.
The shop was suspicious in the morning and checked the machine over. Thankfully the machine tripped their circuits too and we were finally believed. A very unsatisfactory experience.
There was also the fact that at no point did they mention that some self assembly was required due to Vax's inefficient boxing of the item.

Summary: Vax 2-027 rapide, didnt work from new.
Comment: We bought our machine from Amazon who were very quick with the delivery. We needed a carpet cleaner washer because of our new pup a Newfoundland.
Machine went together with a little effort but after refilling the soap tank 3 times and didnt use any clean water - at all we ended up with stickey carpets. We waterd the solution/soap down and proceeded to get the carpets to near "normal" again took about 3 hours though.
The 2 brushes on the machine did an excellent job but our machine was basically unuseable, so it was returned. The machine did seem to have a better than average build quality and I dare sau if yours worked from start OK you would have a decent machine.
The machine is quite heavy to use, bit like the weight of an industrial machine. We a opted for a Vax V-123 Agilty Upright Carpet Washer again from Amazon and at just £10 mmore a gift. It dosnt clean as well but the machine is a lot lighter and easier to use straight from the box as it should be and dealing with the pup it has been brilliant. Full marks for this one

Summary: Good but leaky
Comment: Borrowed this from a friend after the cat took to weeing on the carpet. It has done a good job on cleaning up the mess, and the smell. It does seem to use very little cleaning fluid, even after I managed to connect it properly. However, no matter what I did, it seemed to constantly leak (mainly from the clean water tank but hard to tell) so if I left the machine sat anywhere for long there were big wet patches. Having used it, I'm very tempted to buy my own cleaner as it's done a surprisingly good job and is cheaper than expected, but I might shop around for one that is less dribbly.

Comment: This product is great for restoring that dull dirty carpet and even rinses the carpet well so the carpets r almost dry with good ventilation in about 30mins. its abit loud but gets results.

Summary: Great Product - Poor Customer Service
Comment: 1st time I used it great.
2nd time I used it, it tripped the house fuse and died.
Sent it back to Vax. Still waiting for the replacement - 6 weeks and counting, and they still can't confirm when it will arrive.
