A versatile, and powerful upright carpet washing system, the V-028 Rapide PowerJet Pro makes washing around the home quick and easy.

Washing with Vax AAA Carpet Cleaning Solution, which is specifically formulated for Vax to gently lift deep down dirt and stains, will leave a fresh fragrance, without any sticky residue. The Vax V-027 can also suck up spills and is easy to manoeuvre, set up and use.

Why wash my carpets?
Although regular vacuuming of your carpets removes everyday dirt, it does not completely remove the deep-down dirt and grease that makes carpets look flat and lifeless. Washing your carpets will.

The benefits of regular carpet washing:

  • Prolongs carpet life
  • Brightens colour and pattern
  • Refreshes carpet fibres by extracting odours and stains
  • Removes pollen and dust - the main triggers of asthma and hayfever.

Summary: Worse than worthless

Comment: All I can say is "Wow". This is by far the most poorly designed appliance I have ever seen, starting with fiddly screws and ending with an inconvenient handle that almost gave me a blister. I simply cannot comprehend the sadistic thinking that put a *whistle* on the 'upholstery tool'.

The labor-camp experience is complete: because suction is weak (considerably weaker than that of a vacuum) and there are no moving brushes, the only way to actually clean something is to get on your knees and brush the carpet with the upholstery tool, with your hands, inch by inch. But then again, suction is weak, so released dirt mostly stays on the carpet. The carpet dries up, and looks little better than before.

A carpet cleaner that does not clean carpets: how much is it worth?

Summary: Simply disappointing

Comment: I will keep this brief and to the point. The item does not have any rotating brushes (something I should have noted before purchasing it). There is a "static brush bar" on the underside, but that is pretty useless. Because of this, all the device does really is squirt out the water/detergent mix and then suck it back up again. And to be clear, it doesn't even suck up much of the water. This is probably because the suction bit near the front does not press down against the carpet firmly enough to be effective.
I have given it "two stars" because the hand held attachment did manage to get a good amount of grime out, but that required that I scrub the carpet rigorously with the small static brush mounted within the handheld bit. I also then had to press down very, very firmly with the suction edge, which was not easy work and far too much work for a large carpet.
Teh device was not expensive, so you could say I got what I paid for. Perhaps the most expensive Vax model (with rotating brushes and all) would be more effective.

Summary: its a very average-quallity product

Comment: We purchased this product from Amazon after reading all the good stuff about it and the price was also a big attraction. However we have realized that this is a very average product and that explains its price. I will not recommend it if your carpets are heavily soiled. This is an entry level product which will lift dirt from your carpets, however, nothing close even to restoration to as-new. As far as other reviews are concerned, i think that either these people have carpets which are fairly new or these are one of those who get paid to write reviews. Nothing wrong in the mechanism of machine its just that the method it uses is not very effective.

Summary: inherent design problem

Comment: Right from the start, this machine would not suck up the dirty water from the carpet, unless the front edge of the suction head was pushed down by hand. The machine then sucked up the water from the carpet. It seems this is a design fault, and having to do this is totally unacceptable.

Summary: Waste of money

Comment: As advertised the cleaner sends strong jets of water into the carpet and there is a strong suction but the nozzle is too far off the carpet to suck the water up and there is no adjustment on it so I had to get out my wet and dry vacuum to clear things up.
The static brush bar is just that, no way it oscillates for the carpet is left with a load of clean and not so clean stripes which indicates to me that the brush bar is not working the shampoo into the carpet.
