The Vax V-048 Quicklite Compact Cylinder is a super lightweight bagless vacuum, ideal for smaller homes or those with limited storage space. Its cyclonic technology and HEPA filtration reduce the release of dust particles into the environment, and the quick-release dirt disposal is more hygienic and easy to empty, The combination floor head is great for use on carpets and hard floors, and extra tool storage is on-board for convenience. Cyclonic Technology: Once dust is collected it enters the dirt bin and is spun at a high velocity around the dirt bin. This spinning causes dust particles to be thrown from the air path. Summary: Great If you want to move dust around

Comment: As my mother has back problems, she required a light hoover, and preferred it to be bagless as it is less hassle. I bought her this hoover, and regret the day I did so! Rather than picking up dust, crumbs etc. this hoover merley moves them around. When placing your hand under the hoover nozzle, you can barely even feel the sucksion! Whether this attribute is common of bagless cylinder hoovers, or wether this is specific to this product, I for one will never be buying another of these EVER again. Terrible product! Stick to a henry in my opinion, and that is just what I am off to buy.

Summary: Save your pennies..

Comment: Basicly we bought this hoover as students and we needed a cheap option, that performs well and picks up the dirt on carpet and laminate floor.

On laminate its real hassle as it just seems as we just chase the dirt about the floor as the suction isn't that great and the head just pushes the dirt forward. Lukily theres handy tools that come with it so you can pin point the dirt.

But seriously we've had a much cleaner floor with a dustpan and brush.
Cleaning the carpet isn't that different either.

You might be thinking..
Well if the suctions not working have you cleaned the dust-bin out?

Regarding emptying the vacuum one has to be careful they don't drop the dust bin and the dust. 3 out of 4 times I've emptied it I have come in contact with the dust. To clean the filter you have to obviously touch the dust, I don't however know whether that applies to other vacuum's.

I give this 2 stars for the following reasons
1/ Just only buy it if you're looking for the perfect vacuum to use in the car. Long enough hose and cable and the crevice tool works wonders.
2/ 'Cos one seems too harsh.
