The V-091X Performance 2400 is a powerful cyclonic bagless cylinder vacuum for use on carpets and hard floors. Its Turbobrush excels on large carpeted areas, leaving it looking groomed and revitalised. The innovative Vax X-Tend accessory extends to reach up a full flight to make light work of cleaning stairs. Its cyclonic technology and HEPA exhaust filtration reduces the release of allergy triggers into the environment, and the large, quick-release dirt disposal is more hygienic and easy to empty. With on-board tools, cord rewind and telescopic tubes makes the V-091TB ideal for quick and easy home cleaning.
Cyclonic Technology: Once dust is collected it enters the dirt bin and is spun at a high velocity around the dirt bin. This spinning causes dust particles to be thrown from the air path. Cleaner air then continues through the HEPA filter, and out into your environment, reducing the triggers of allergies.
HEPA filtration: (High Efficient Particle Arrester) - a high level of filtration, which traps smaller dust and dirt particles, preventing contamination of the environment. This type of filtration is better for homes with allergy sufferers.
No bags: V-091X's bagless technology means that there is no need to buy bags - ever.
5-stage variable power: Suction power can be altered to use on heavy traffic areas, upholstery, curtains, car interiors and hard floors to ensure an optimum clean.
Washable filters: Your filters will last much longer.

Summary: Some one get me a broom!
Comment: 1. Filter cleanout required after hoovering only half my little bungalow! I end up covered in loads of dust and will need to shower after every hoovering session. On one hand I suppose this shows it is picking up from deep within the carpet but on the other hand the power severley reduces when the filter is clogged so you HAVE to clean the filter to continue.
2. Rather heavy to pull around, thankfully I have no stairs in my house.
3. Blisters, the plastic where you hold the wand has ridges in it and it makes for a sore hand after a hoovering session.
Why Oh Why did I not read these reviews before buying it. I only bought it today and already hate it.
As I now have to live with it as the Sales of Goods Act does not allow me to return it, I have decided to wrap tape round the handle to avoid the blisters and I am going to keep my old vacuum and use it to suck out the dust from the filter of this new one to avoid giving me asthma from the dust. Oh how a 50's housewife would laugh at the irony.

Summary: Cheap and not cheerful !
Comment: Bought this cleaner 15 months ago and its been a huge disappointment. I wish I'd spent more on a good quality machine.
Out of the box it seemed great: good suction and well able to cope with conditions I bought it for -- two small children, animals, coal fire and dust etc. After two sessions the suction was reducing more and more. To try to maintain reasonable pick up you have to clean the filter after each use. The plastic at the top of the metal hose is weak --- had two new hoses (you have to buy the whole section) since new and now another has just broken at the top and at the part where it clips into the machine so hose keep coming out of machine if you have move it too quickly.
Looks very 'space age' and poweful with it's shiny blue body and all the lights that come on but it's more trouble than it's worth. I'm spending more next time and buying something that'll do the job and last -- Miele or Bosch

Summary: Don't waste your money
Comment: Bad points - Heavy, loud, gives off a lot of heat, the filter needs cleaning regularly, the hose has a really annoying plastic handle, and it doesn't pick up very well compared to other makes.
Good points - It was cheap! (not purchased from Amazon)
This hoover has seen its last carpet and is now in the shed, I think next time I'll fork out the extra for a Dyson.

Summary: Dreadful!!
Comment: This was great for the first 10 minutes.......
Filter blocks within minutes. I have to clean it out after every hoover (or midway through the house). Complained to Vax only to be instructed by Vax not to wash it each time, but just to 'bang it on the side in the dustbin' Dust goes everywhere.
Rotating head attachment useless. Lasted a few weeks, but can't get it to work at all now.
Plastic parts break soooo easily. The part that attaches the hose to the metal tube has now snapped - the hoover is now absolutely useless as nothing will now fit onto it. Not good after only 12 months!!
Don't buy! It's dreadful!!
I've since bought a second hand Dyson DC01 for £15 and it's fab!

Summary: Looks space age, but doesn't do the job!
Comment: I bought this hoover 7 months ago. Straight from the box, the suction was impressive but after each use the filter needs thorough cleaning. I spend more time cleaning the filter than hoovering. When the filter is washed, it then needs to be left overnight to dry before I can continue hoovering. The hose is flimsy and 'kinks' easily, the handle is unwieldy and the hose catches the power dial and turns it down.
Today, when I found myself reduced to taking the attachments off and trying to hoover on hands and knees, inch by inch, to get enough suction I decided it was time to give up and invest in a Henry!
