Summary: good powerfull allrounder

Comment: I brought this hoover in the Jan sales last year! i've got a dog and two kids, it does wonders to my carpet! i have cleaners to come in my house and they all comment on how good it is!
It is heavy to push but does a great job, much better than my dyson, only concern is ordering parts, fingers crossed no probs yet!

Summary: Dam nuisance !!

Comment: Brilliant hoover when it works. The belt keeps falling off. Now I'm waiting for it to break. Appears from what I ahve read so far this seems to be a common fault. On my way to email vax.

Summary: trouble from week 1

Comment: Nice looking machine and performs well when it works properly but nothing but trouble most of the time. On second time of using it stopped picking up and I eventually discovered that the belt had come off (not broken). I had to unscrew the bottom and put it back again. This has now become a weekly (at least ) routine until now. The turbo head falls apart and has to be re-assembled with the same frequency that the belt comes off.
Now the belt has broken and I am having trouble getting hold of another one so the machine is useless to me.

Summary: Difficult to order replacement belt

Comment: The plastic belt which drives the brush beater broke on about the 10th use of the vacuum cleaner. Unfortunately, Vax does not stock this replacement part themselves even though it is a commonly replaced part. The part is only available through a merchant's part distributor which has a 90-day backorder.

Summary: VAX bagless upright vacuum cleaner

Comment: This is the 2nd Vax bagless vacuum cleaner I purchased. The first, the Turbo, was very good, but the casing did not live up to the motor and a wheel broke after 2 years. Still it was an impressive enough performance to persuade me to buy the Vax Zero VZL-201. It too has a powerful suction action but the cannister is much easier to empty and keep clean. The turbo hand tool for added suction when using an extension is also present and is useful for furniture and stairs. However, this model has the added bonus of a separate power button for the brush roller so no dirt/fluff escapes! When the brush rollers stopped working one day I found the online site very helpful. The fix was easy, there is a reset button that worked first time. My only 'gripe' is that the flex is much, much shorter than the Turbo so I can no longer do the whole ground floor without re-plugging it. It is a bit heavy, but becomes lighter when the roller brush is on. As for the casing, I shall just have to wait and see.
